Nikki Furrer
Nikki Furrer is a cannabis lawyer, cultivator, author, and the CEO of Fleur, a cannabis company that develops strains and products with a focus on women’s health.
She has worked as a budtender and grower in Denver, Colorado, but before entering the cannabis industry she was a lawyer working in publishing in New York City. She then went on to own an independent bookstore in St.Louis, Missouri named Pudd’nhead Books.
She eventually closed her bookstore, after which she decided to dive into the cannabis industry up in the Colorado mountains, and in 2013, when Missouri legalized cannabis, she found herself back in St.Louis.
In 2018, Nikki released her book “A Woman’s Guide to Cannabis: Using Marijuana to Feel Better, Look Better, Sleep Better — and Get High Like a Lady.” Her book covers topics on how to navigate a typical dispensary, how to reduce pain with topicals, and the difference between THC, CBD, and terpenes. She also has a helpful glossary for those new to the cannabis community and even lists suggested books that cover topics like how to cook with cannabis.
Most women deal with some type of pain and having a book out there that talks about those different types of pain, and the way cannabis can help is really beneficial to the cannabis community.
