Sarah Gersten
Sarah Gersten is the Executive Director and General Counsel for the Last Prisoner Project. A nonprofit criminal justice reform organization created to help release those who are still incarcerated from cannabis-related charges.
After working as an attorney at a congressional agency, she co-founded a cannabis-centered law firm, taking on expungement and record sealing cases pro-bono in an effort to provide a clean slate for those released from incarceration.
Throughout her career, Sarah has worked at the crossroads of cannabis legalization and criminal justice reform and with legalization creating a spike in states implementing criminal justice reform policies, there is a more positive turn on social responsibility in the industry.
Her selflessness is truly beautiful.
